My name is Fang Cao. I’m a scientific researcher, a mother, and a daughter who spent the last years caring for my father through stage 4 lung cancer with brain metastasis.

This site is where I try to “translate” life – turning complicated medical language, research, and painful experiences into plain words that can actually help. I write about caregiving and loss, raising a healthy and independent child, mental health, personality, and simple, natural habits that support our bodies and minds.

I share what helped my family, what failed, and what I wish I had known earlier, so that other families don’t have to repeat every mistake I made.

I am not a doctor or therapist. Nothing here is medical advice. I hope these stories and reflections can sit alongside proper medical and psychological care, never instead of it.
